In the full first year without Roe, NAF and our members worked together to help people access abortion care. As millions of people lost access to abortion care due to restrictive abortion bans, NAF members were on-the-ground making abortion accessible across the country.
The mission of the National Abortion Federation is to unite, represent, serve, and support abortion providers in delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care. When you give to NAF, your gift directly helps our members keep their clinic doors open and providing care to their patients.

Chloe's Fund
In April 2023, we tragically lost our Hotline Director, Chloe Hanson Hebert. With her family’s support and blessing, we launched Chloe’s Fund in November as a way to honor her memory and commitment to our work. Chloe's Fund will support self-care for our abortion-providing members. Over the course of her social work career, Chloe was driven by equalizing access to needs such as health care, legal advocacy, and mental health for marginalized populations as well as creating supportive structures for the staff who serve them. Self-care is a cornerstone of social work, and Chloe cared deeply about the health and well-being of our members.

Welcoming our new President & CEO
In 2023, we welcomed Brittany Fonteno to the organization as our new President and CEO. A seasoned strategist, advocate, and trainer with over 15 years of experience in sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice work, Brittany has expertise in health care, advocacy, communications, organizational strategy and operations, fundraising, and coalition building, with a focus on racial equity. We are excited to move into a new organizational phase under her leadership after several years of significant change in our work brought about by the SCOTUS decision and the COVID-19 pandemic.
