HR 4712 was written by anti-choice politicians to score political points
Statement of Vicki Saporta, President and CEO of the National Abortion Federation (NAF), on the latest anti-abortion bill, HR 4712:
This bill is a politically-motivated, medically-unnecessary interference in the practice of medicine and could negatively impact women’s access to reproductive health care. It is part of the Trump-Pence assault on safe, legal abortion care and intended to intimidate abortion providers so that they stop providing abortion care. These bills are written by anti-choice politicians to score points with their base, and disregard the health of women and their families.
Once again, anti-choice politicians in Congress have proven that the only thing they can agree upon is denying women access to safe, legal abortion care.
