Today, a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California held the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), David Daleiden, and Daleiden’s criminal attorneys Steve Cooley and Brentford Ferreira in civil contempt for multiple violations of our Preliminary Injunction (PI). Today, a judge in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California granted the National Abortion Federation (NAF) a preliminary injunction prohibiting Biomax Procurement Services LLC, the Center for Medical Progress (CMP), David Daleiden, and Troy Newman from releasing recordings and materials they illegally obtained at NAF’s educational meetings. The court specifically held there was no evidence of criminal activity by NAF members on the 504 hours of tapes, as the defendants had repeatedly and misleadingly claimed throughout the case. Supreme Court Denies CMP Appeal

Today, the U.S. Supreme Court denied a last minute “emergency” application by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) to avoid turning over the names of all the people with whom they shared NAF’s confidential information. Today, a federal district court jury in San Francisco found the creators of the anti-abortion smear campaign against abortion providers all broke multiple state and federal laws in their efforts. The jury ruled in Planned Parenthood’s favor on each of its claims, including finding that the defendants violated the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) and engaged in fraud, trespass, breach of contract, and illegal secret recording.
