The National Abortion Federation recruits qualified, pro-choice candidates. NAF is an equal opportunity employer.
The National Abortion Federation (NAF) is the professional association of abortion providers. Our more than 450 facility members include private and non-profit clinics, Planned Parenthood affiliates, women’s health centers, physicians’ offices, hospitals, and virtual providers in the U.S. and Canada, and public hospitals and both public and private clinics in Mexico City and private clinics in Colombia.
We currently offer a range of programs aimed at supporting the clinical, security, and educational capacities of our members. Through our programs, NAF provides: 24/7 security support and emergency assistance to our members; continuing medical education in abortion care; technical assistance and training; and quality assurance and improvement services. In addition to ongoing education and training programs for abortion providers, we release evidence-based Clinical Policy Guidelines for Abortion Care (CPGs) every two years, which are evidence-based guidelines that help abortion providers offer the highest standard of care to their patients. We also nurture a community of practice and a network that is a lifeline for abortion providers who are often isolated and in need of resources and diverse support, especially during these challenging times.
We also oversee the NAF Hotline, the largest national, toll-free, multi-lingual hotline for abortion referrals and financial assistance in the U.S. and Canada. For more than 40 years, we have provided callers with accurate information, confidential consultation, options counseling, and referrals to providers of quality abortion care. We also provide case management services and financial assistance to help patients afford the cost of their abortion care and travel-related expenses. Receiving more than 100,000 calls annually, the Hotline is free and offers services to everyone, regardless of patients’ individual situation.
Our Mission and Values
NAF’s mission is to unite, represent, serve, and support abortion providers in delivering patient-centered, evidence-based care.
