Busting Abortion Care Myths

There are many myths—about who chooses abortion care, about providers, etc– perpetuated by anti-choice proponents, but one of the most harmful lies they circulate is their misinformed belief that abortion care is not safe. They are wrong. NAF member, David A. Grimes busted some myths recently at Huffington Post and continued to help shine a light on the real intentions of anti-choice politicians:
The risk of death from abortion in the U.S. is similar to that of paddling a canoe. Given this fact, the current preoccupation of state legislatures with gynecology (and not canoes) clearly stems from partisan politics, not concerns about public health.
