Politicians in Texas have made it clear: they don’t trust you

It’s clear from the ever-growing number of anti-abortion bills each session—including an outright ban that would put women and providers at risk of criminal charges if they obtain or provide abortion care—that politicians in Texas do not trust women to make their own private medical decisions. They also require providers to give medically-inaccurate information to patients in hopes of dissuading women from obtaining abortion care.
Now, politicians in Texas have introduced a bill “urging Texans to not use the flag emoji of the Republic of Chile when referring to the Texas flag.”
Seriously.
Politicians in Texas don’t trust you with your uterus or your emojis. When is enough enough?
