Online Learning

NAF members have access to the latest evidence-based abortion-related courses and resources through our online learning platform. With more than 50 courses in English and 11 in Spanish, NAF is a leader in abortion education.

NAF members have exclusive access to online learning content through NAF’s members-only website. The online learning platform offers accredited continuing education on a wide range of abortion topics delivered in short, self-paced modules that are appropriate for physicians and other allied health professionals. All areas of NAF’s Clinical Policy Guidelines for Abortion Care are covered in addition to supplemental topics like trans-inclusive abortion care, values clarification, and billing and coding. The online learning platform hosts helpful resources for clinicians and administrators, including protocols; patient education materials; logbooks; and consents. Annual Meeting

NAF's Annual Meeting brings together more than 1,000 abortion providers, researchers, and advocates to learn the latest research, innovations, and policies that affect abortion provision. Our Annual Meeting is our premier education and networking event.

NAF’s Annual Meeting is the primary venue for presentation of the latest research, innovations, and policies that affect abortion care provision around the world. The meeting includes specialized seminars and clinical workshops, as well as sessions on all aspects of the provision of abortion care, including administrative; legal; counseling; and policy issues.

NAF’s Annual Meeting is open to NAF members and Planned Parenthood affiliate staff. Non-NAF members can request preregistration only when sponsored in writing by a NAF or Planned Parenthood affiliate member.

* The National Abortion Federation (NAF) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education (CME) for physicians. NAF is also a licensed Continuing Education Provider for nurses, Provider Number 15489.

Many states/provinces require documentation of continuing education for licensure renewal for nurses and other professionals. NAF can provide non-physicians with documentation of attendance. Participants must contact their state licensing or provincial authorities to determine the acceptability of AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ to ensure that their participation is credited. The American Academy of Physician Assistants accepts certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™ from organizations accredited by ACCME. The Continuing Education Section of the American College of Nurse-Midwifes grants reciprocity status for the ACCME Category 1 offerings that are relevant to midwifery.
