Melissa Fowler
Chief Program Officer
Melissa Fowler joined NAF in 2006 and became the Chief Program Officer in early 2021. In this role, she provides leadership for the organization’s membership services—including NAF’s Security Department; branding; public relations; and fundraising and development portfolio. Melissa is deeply committed to NAF’s members and was instrumental in changing the organization’s mission to be member-focused in 2019.
Prior to joining NAF, Melissa worked in direct services as a patient advocate for a NAF member Planned Parenthood surgical center in Dallas and later in nonprofit communications. Melissa earned a B.S. in Journalism from Texas A&M University and a Nonprofit Management Executive Certificate from Georgetown University. She previously served on the Board of Nursing Students for Sexual & Reproductive Health.
